Marthe Robin was born on March 13, 1902, of Châteauneuf-deGalaure, in south eastern France. During this period Marthe was paralyzed. Little by little she understood her vocation as a laywoman, for live her offering in union with Jesus crucified for the sake of the Church and the world. On February10, 1936, Marthe met Father Finet. With her he placed himself of the service of the Lord in "the great Work of his love" : the Foyers of Light, Charity and Love.
Until her death, on February 6, 1981, Marthe lived in a small room of the family farmhouse of Châteauneuf-de-Galaure.
